Selected to represent the United States in Comedy Magic at the World Championships!
ABOUT THE SHOW
Michael Dardant brings his zany antics to the big stage displaying his unique comedy style and mystifying illusions with the help of his lovely and looney assistants. A mastery of improv and audience interaction makes each performance special and unforgettable! Featuring the talents of New Orleans variety show favorites, this outrageous vaudeville style cabaret performance is ideal for cruise ships, conventions, and casinos. Most recently, the internationally award winning act entitled, “I Don’t Do Birds”, was selected to represent the United States in Comedy Magic at the World Championships! (F.I.S.M. Italy, 2015) In addition, Michael was one of only two competitors world wide to qualify in two different categories!
As a comedian and emcee, Michael has been featured on stages across the globe accumulating an impressive client roster ranging from huge corporations to national sporting events. As a writer and producer, he has captured the attention of theaters and films world wide. His team has toured the globe from Vancouver to Switzerland and their wild wit and wizardry leaves crowds of any size in any language astonished. Audiences are caught completely off guard as Michael combines the skills of comedy and magic with surprises ranging from pickpocketing to even fire juggling!
Very active in local, “Big Easy” theater, his Comedy Magic has been part of a Burlesque Show, called Fleur de Tease for over ten seasons! In addition to playing himself, he has become known for his absurd and inventive characters and even off the wall impersonations of famous literary figures such as Captain Hook and Willy Wonka. Often his outrageous personality of “Cajun Mike” delights fans with an authentic accent and a completely original repertoire. Known since childhood as the “Magic Mike” of Louisiana (no relation to Channing Tatum), he decided to parody the recent film of the same name, bringing down the house and now receiving ongoing requests for the routine from shows such as America’s Got Talent ! After performing the act for the Mardi Gras “Greasing Of The Poles” Dance Competition, Michael became the first male in 45 years to claim this distinct championship award!
